Hope and Bindi's Story
"We were wanting to adopt a greyhound for some time & regularly went to greyhound adoption days through GAP (Greyhounds as Pets) Program just to meet the dogs & learn. At a recent ‘sip & pat’ event we fell in love with Hope & we couldn't resist taking her home that day. When we were leaving, a couple of people casually mentioned about taking her friend Bindi home as well, but we assumed they just wanted to have more greyhounds adopted we laughed it off & left with Hope.
Later whilst scrolling through Facebook I came across an older GAP post featuring Hope & Bindi as a bonded pair. I reached out to the trainer, Debbie, & I leaned that Hope and Bindi were housed in kennels next door to each other & one night Bindi had dug under her kennel & the next morning both girls were found in cuddling in Hope's bed! My heartbreak set in at the thought of these two girls being separated. The following day we spoke with GAP & fostered Bindi. Now reunited with her best friend, Hope's personality has emerged.
Both Hope and Bindi are two “peas in a pod” & share everything together! They melt our hearts each day & we wouldn't have them any other way. Taking Bindi into our home to be with Hope has given us more joy than you can imagine!" - Chris & Stacey
