The Photography Room has been raising funds for the AWL through photo sessions for over five years, and have now reached a total of $40,000 raised!

The AWL is South Australia’s leading animal welfare provider, and has been creating happy homes for stray and abandoned animals since 1964.

Your photography session will be personally photographed by multi-award winning photographer Mark Trumble of Photographyroom.  

Mark is 4x winner of the prestigious SA Pet Photographer of the Year, awarded by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

  • We love their tall lanky legs, long noses and the corker expressions of these gorgeous breeds. Not only are they majestic, but they are also extremely photogenic, guaranteed to pull faces in front of the camera which will always make you smile and in most cases, giggle!

  • The Animal Welfare League (AWL) is a leading animal welfare provider recognized for the provision and development of services for animals in need.

  • In addition to helping raise much needed funds for the AWL, our session fee is waived and our first dog image is with our compliments! You will also have a series of priceless and creative portraits taken with the opportunity to purchase additional photographs to enjoy ‘furever’ in your home.

  • For just over 7 years we have been raising funds for the AWL through photo sessions and we have now reached a total of $40,000 raised! We would love to reach a total of $45,000 by the end of 2023!

  • We encourage you, children or the whole family to be photographed with your beautiful dog(s) at no extra cost! If you have multiple pets, they are family as well and are very welcome.

  • Yes! You have the choice one complimentary 12x8" dog print which is included in this offer. You will be given the opportunity to select and purchase additional photographs, however whatever you decide is totally up to you! Images start from $295 with special collections available.

  • Very active or even dogs who can misbehave are the most fun to photograph – they provide lots of fun expressions and we can still achieve great shots!

  • It's rare that a dog isn’t a fan of what we do here, having photographed over 3000 dogs, ranging from ‘nervous nellies’ to ‘hypoactive hounds’ and everything in between.

    Not once have we failed to at least get one stunning piece of artwork. Our patient team will work with you and your dog(s) to be sure you have the best experience and in addition, produce stunning images (you may have not thought possible) of your nervous, furry friend!
